Nordic Lyte, headquartered in Norway, is committed to strengthening Europe’s battery industry through local, EU-owned electrolyte production. Today, around 90% of the world’s electrolytes are produced in China and Korea, making Europe heavily dependent on imports for this critical battery component. Electrolytes are highly sensitive to environmental conditions, and long-distance transport increases the risk of quality degradation, cost, and emissions.
